Singer/Songwriter Angela has completed a significant project. From You is largely a Brown/ Reggie Reid collaboration with Regina Reid providing ubiquitous background vocals in tandem with Angela. The work starts with a racy, yet controlled praise item "Give God The Praise." "Because of Who You Are" is a more contemplative offering of praise, delivered in the same vein as "Holy." The latter is a call to worhip that takes you to the throne room. It stays with you long after the experience. Definitely one of the standouts on this project.

The lyrics of "Heaven Smiled on Me' suggest a wedding day commitment. "When got gave me you, He gave me the very best...You sent me the one I adore, How could I ask for more..." This song may have a future in the pantheon of nuptial classics.

This reviewer was certainly alert to  the artist's passion for message music, without diminishing the musical fundamentals. Very articulate, very expressive, very involved in her art, and obviously enjoying it. Superbly rich tonal quality. Check out this website.
