His debut solo CD was more than a decade overdue, but when it came it brought a crescendo of thumbs up reviews. Favorites is a collection of standout contemporary and inspirational items that this New Jersey resident has ministered to appreciative worshipers as soloist, or lead singer of the Remnant choir or One Desire, a contemporary vocal ensemble. The album begins with a commanding rendition of "I Call You Faithful," and climaxes with the song most requested by his mature listeners, "Midnight Cry." Here is one artist who sings at a level that often outdoes the original work. Every song is delivered with passion, ownership, and excellence. "Unrestrained," "The Lamb," "I Understand," and "Stand," are some of the 10 cuts on the list. On "Ordinary Just Won't Do," and "I Believe," he is joined by members of the ODQ quartet and One Desire, respectively. The album is a winner, but Dwight can't wait to get back into the studio to do some of the many original works he has authored, a few of which have been previously recorded by the group Amar.
