This St. Louis native is a gifted singer songwriter. The masterful delivery on her It’s Gonna Be Alright CD will win her tons of long term support. Her voice has an ability to do more than shape pretty notes, which, don’t get me wrong, is an integral part of good singing. Nevertheless, Regina’s has the sheer ability to communicate. Maybe it’s because she wrote her songs herself, thus they are part and parcel of her being. But she delivers.
“You tried this thing once before/ You tried your best no unlocked door/Get ready now He’s gonna give relief/All you gotta do is just believe.” This from the title track.
Great interweaving of vocal and instrumental arrangements.
The driving bass appropriately contrasted with keyboard at high octave.
Track 5, "If It Wasn't For The Blood," provides a rich meditative atmosphere. The most touching moment of the entire listening experience may surround the bridge, "I give you my life, Lord, I’m ready to obey, I give you my heart, Lord, I mean it when I say, If it weren’t for the blood, I don’t know where I’d be." Huge lyrical inspiration.
